Since Tesla and SpaceX creator Elon Musk purchased Twitter for $44 billion and became its CEO, it has been safe to say that Twitter’s future has been uncertain, and that’s putting it mildly. After the billionaire was finally voted out of office in a public ballot conducted by Twitter users, numerous candidates have emerged to take his place. Nonetheless, after an unexpected conversation, it seems like MrBeast has left the most impact on Musk.
Many of the influencer’s 16.6 million Twitter followers saw his question about being Twitter’s next CEO as a joke on Thursday, thinking it was meant as a poke at the company’s recent policy moves. Hours later, though, Musk shared his opinion about MrBeast getting the position, saying simply, “It’s not out of the question.” MrBeast has not been shy about sharing his thoughts on some of Twitter’s recent changes, so take his reaction with a grain of salt. Taking issue with the company’s plan to ban users who publish links to or mention their accounts on third-party platforms, he called for Musk’s resignation last week.
It’s no secret that MrBeast would be quite popular if he ever took control of Twitter. Over the years, the inventor has amassed an incredible 122 million followers on YouTube, the fourth greatest quantity on the site, thanks to his outlandish games and real-life challenge films.
His popularity has led to a crossover with the popular video game Fortnite. The tournament gave out the special MrBeast Extreme Survival Challenge map for a short period, and the winner of that challenge received a cool million dollars. His involvement with the game, though, continued beyond that point. There are presently two MrBeast-inspired skins available in the battle royale game, in addition to a wide variety of additional cosmetics and accessories with the same concept.
