Overwatch 2 Unveils Epic One Punch Man Crossover with Doomfist

Overwatch 2 is receiving a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration, bringing together the game’s punchiest and brawniest character with the one and only Saitama from One Punch Man. The One Punch Man anime is well-known for its protagonist, who, as the name says, hits individuals and ends their lives with a single punch. While Doomfist may not provide the same amount of rapid delight, his gigantic fist perfectly aligns with Saitama’s ethos of aggression.

This was verified by the Overwatch Calvalry Twitter account, which debuted the new Doomfist skin, displaying the gorgeous yellow costume and gigantic red punching glove. The Doomfist x One Punch Man skin will be available to obtain beginning March 7 during an event that will go through April 6. Doomfist isn’t the only character receiving a One Punch Man skin, according to Blizzard. The crew has “developed a library of cosmetics from the famous anime,” so we may see some additional character skins.

The developers also mentioned that all attainable cosmetics would be revealed before the event begins on March 7. One of the cosmetics will also be a Legendary skin that may be obtained through themed challenges. According to the post’s language, this free skin is unlikely to be Doomfist as Saitama, but it does indicate another skin from the One Punch Man world.

This is Overwatch 2’s first cooperation with a big IP, and they hit the ground running. This is also one of several events coming to Overwatch 2 Season 3, such as the Overwatch 2 dating simulator Loverwatch and the limited Kill Confirmed game mode, Pachimarchi. Season 3 of Overwatch 2 begins on February 7, making today the final day to slog your way up the competitive ladder. Make careful to tie up any loose ends before the season comes to a conclusion.
