Final Fantasy XIV’s next update will arrive early in the new year. Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.3 is set to release on January 10, 2023, and will include new narrative and raid content, as well as several other updates and enhancements.
The teaser, which was shown off today during the Live Letter, focuses on what the protagonist, or Warrior of Light, will be up to as the main plot content proceeds. We see a lot of fresh cast member Zero, but it also appears like Alisae and Alphinaud will be featured.
Some of the new raid material will also be included to Final Fantasy XIV’s current 24-player raid series, Myths of the Realm. The gods appear to be continuing to test players, and I’m really loving what we’ve seen of their venues.
Home Sweet Island Sanctuary
Of course, a Final Fantasy XIV patch is a big deal, and there’s a lot more on the way. According to the Patch 6.3 website, there are enhancements to Tataru’s Grand Endeavor, more Duty support, and a new Unreal Trial and Ultimate Raid. The latest upgrade appears to be a challenge for XIV gamers who enjoy high-end content.
But if you want a quiet life on a tranquil island, there is something for you as well. The Island Sanctuary is getting an upgrade, which will contain a new landmark and some significant quality-of-life enhancements, as explained by Square Enix’s Naoki Yoshida in the Live Letter. Picking up all leftovers and yields in one fell swoop will be a game changer.
While the holidays are just getting started, Final Fantasy XIV appears to be gearing up for a massive patch to ring in the new year. On January 10, 2023, we’ll see where the MSQ travels and perhaps return to our islands for some repairs.
