Exoprimal Release Date: Find Out When You Can Expect to Get Your Hands on It!

While Exoprimal is not the long-awaited sequel to Capcom’s Dino Crisis games, it will still satiate players’ need for dinosaur slaughter. Exoprimal is an original intellectual property (IP) from Capcom about a squad of troops outfitted in futuristic super-soldier armor who must defend themselves from an invasion of dinosaurs. It’s exactly as absurd as it sounds, but that is the concept of the game. Capcom plans to make Exoprimal its next major third-person shooter series in the hopes that it will attract the same kind of audience as those games. The release of the game is imminent, so players should get their finest dinosaur-fighting gear ready.

When will Exoprimal be available to the public?

During Sony’s March 2022 State of Play, a video for Exoprimal was shown off, with no firm release date provided beyond “sometime in 2023” for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game’s announcement video wouldn’t be released by Capcom until March 2023, an entire year after the game was scheduled for release. On July 14, Exoprimal will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox System X/S, Xbox One, and Windows. The game’s open test will launch on March 17 and run through March 19 for players to try out. Both Xbox and PlayStation users have access to cross-platform multiplayer in its entirety.

According to the teaser trailer, dinosaur rain is a regular event in the year 2043, when Exoprimal is set. A group of troops in exoskeleton outfits have been tasked with repelling the dinosaurs. The video features several different types of dinosaurs, including a triceratops, a small theropod akin to the velociraptors from Jurassic Park, and a T-Rex. A subsequent preview clarified that the villainous artificial intelligence Leviathan is behind the meteor shower of prehistoric creatures.

One of the figures in the Exoprimal video looks remarkably like the protagonist from the Dino Crisis series, despite the fact that the two franchises have very little in common stylistically or aesthetically. Story objectives, PvP, and Co-op play are just some of the game options you can expect to see in Exoprimal.
