Escape from Tarkov 0.13 Patch Trailer: Fans Can’t Get Enough of the Mysterious New Update!

Over 100,000 Escape from Tarkov fans flocked to Battlestate Games’ YouTube channel for the global premiere of the 0.13 patch video, which included the long-awaited Streets of Tarkov. The implications of it explaining new mechanics and features of the forthcoming wipe, which is expected to take place on December 28, as well as the front-and-center placement of the Streets of Tarkov inside the movie, had fans huddled in to see what new perils awaited them in the next patch. The new trailer raised more questions than it answered.

When will Streets of Tarkov be released?

Multiple new Streets of Tarkov sequences were prominently presented, with building interiors and the streets itself taking up the majority of the movie. However, no assurance was given that Streets of Tarkov will be released with the future patch – only an innuendo. Furthermore, the subject of when the next wipe will occur is also out in the air, implying that fans will need to do some research to decide when they should clear their calendars.

The next Twitch drop event for Escape from Tarkov is slated on December 29. Patch 0.13 and its wipe are expected to be released on December 28. Wipes typically cause Escape from Tarkov to be unavailable for several hours, so a Twitch drop event during a maintenance time would be an unusual decision. If the Battlestate Games naming standards and YouTube trailer debut are any indication, Streets of Tarkov should be playable on December 29. It’s worth noting, though, that BSG has made no pledges or set dates for subsequent events. Historically, the only place where impending wipes are disclosed is on Battlestate Games’ official Twitter — the pre-wipe event with Escape from Tarkov is presently occurring, and the next Twitch event would likely struggle with views if it occurred during pre-wipe.
