Conquer the Iron Banner: A Guide to Playing Fortress in Destiny 2

In Destiny 2, Iron Banner has introduced a new game mode called Fortress. This game, like previous Iron Banner modes, pits you against a team of Guardians to see who has the better squad. As an added bonus, a group of Cabal will appear on the battlefield halfway through the game, altering your team’s objectives. Fortress might be frenetic at times, but it’s identical to the basic Iron Banner game mode. Here’s all you need to know about the Iron Banner’s Fortress game mode in Destiny 2.

How Does Fortress Works In Destiny 2

In Destiny 2, Fortress will have you working with your Guardian fire squad to try to seize more zones than your opponents. When you control two of the three points on the map, your team receives four points during each time interval, providing your side Zone Advantage. If you control all three objective points, your team wins six points for each time period and prevents the opposing side from scoring.

The Hunt period begins when a player has earned a certain number of points for their team. On the left side of the screen, an indicator will reveal how many points a team needs to reach before the next Hunt begins.

The winner is determined by who accumulates the most points (125). If no one reaches the barrier before the countdown runs out, the winner will be determined by who has the most points when the buzzer rings.
