For more than a decade, the Amnesia series has supplied horror fans with first-person survival experiences, and Amnesia: The Bunker looks to do the same. The following version, however, delivers more than simply a fresh, horrifying plot, with the addition of a new weapon and a shift to its typical layout. Here’s all you need to know about Amnesia: The Bunker, including when it’ll be available.
When will Amnesia: The Bunker be released?
Amnesia: The Bunker is set to debut in March, thanks to an exciting announcement teaser, although an exact date has yet to be announced. This next game will also be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam. Although this may be disappointing for PS5 and Nintendo Switch users, developer Frictional Games has not revealed the entire list of systems supported.
What is the plot of Amnesia: The Bunker?
Amnesia: The Bunker is supposed to be based on the true account of Henri Clement, a French World War I soldier who was abandoned in a monster-infested bunker to fend for himself. However, longstanding fans may expect the setting to be larger than usual. Fractional Games has stated that its environment is “semi-open,” which means that players will be free to wander with less restrictions than others in the series. To increase replayability, the horror title will also have randomly produced events and “unpredictable” AI behavior.
Everything revealed in the gameplay trailers for Amnesia: The Bunker
Fans have been treated to a series of gameplay previews for the upcoming game on the developer’s YouTube page since its announcement. Despite the fact that the most of the clip is barely a minute long, one segment highlights players’ ability to pick up and use a handgun – a huge first in the franchise. However, it appears that this is not the only way to destroy anything in sight. In recent trailers, Henri has also shown the ability to roll and discharge explosive barrels at locked doors and barred entryways in order to open new passageways.
